Glenwood Springs faces an active threat from a new proposal to resume mining at the limestone mine and triple its size. The Glenwood Hot Springs Protection Act, now in Congress, is the solution.
The bi-partisan Glenwood Hot Springs Protection Act is short and sweet. It simply prohibits the U.S. Bureau of Land Management from allowing any size expansion of the limestone mine on Transfer Trail near Glenwood Springs.
Wherever you live, you can help build support in Congress for the Glenwood Hot Springs Protection Act.
Locals and Western Slope residents can provide valuable support to the bi-partisan bill sponsors, U.S. Rep. Jeff Hurd and U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, and to the co-sponsors, Sen. John Hickenlooper and Rep. Joe Neguse.
Colorado residents can encourage their U.S. Representative to co-sponsor HR. 9826 to show unified support from the entire Colorado delegation.
