Announcing the Love Glenwood Springs Challenge Grant

The Threat: Unacceptable.

Our Opposition: Strong and Unified.

2020: A Critical Year for Defending Our Community.

On Dec. 5, the Glenwood Springs City Council took bold action in awarding the Citizens’ Alliance an immediate grant of $20,000, coupled with a challenge grant of up to $30,000.

The Alliance will deploy the immediate grant in the coming weeks to blanket the community with “Don’t Mine Glenwood” yard signs, bumper stickers and advertising, and we are planning key events for early in the year.

The exciting prospect for you to know about is the Love Glenwood Springs Challenge Grant.

For every dollar the Citizens’ Alliance can raise in the coming weeks, the City of Glenwood Springs will match with another dollar, up to $30,000.

Your contribution will help us turn the city’s $30,000 match into $60,000 of funding.

Any amount will count, whether it’s $10 or $1,000 or anything in between. When we put our voices and our dollars together, we speak loudly and effectively.

Our all-volunteer organization will use these funds to educate and inform more people about the threat we face, and continue our substantive opposition to the proposed limestone quarry expansion.

Join your friends and neighbors (2,033 individuals and 265 businesses to date!) and help us meet this challenge grant.
